  • Technology in our schools

'We work very hard to try to achieve equality of opportunity.'
    George Cardinal Pell

Information and Communication Technology is a highly valued and greatly used contemporary learning tool.

Catholic Network Australia recognised the importance of high speed broadband in enabling exciting, high-quality learning opportunities and partnered with Telstra to connect over 1,500 schools across Australia with optic fibre broadband.

The improvement in the bandwidth and speed of internet service means that students and teachers in Catholic schools, no matter what the size or location of their school, can easily access information from throughout the world and have boundless opportunities to explore outside the classroom.

As Stephen Elder OAM, Executive Director, Catholic Education Melbourne notes, 'Remoteness is no longer an impediment to a quality and sound education.'
